Science Exploration Day

Hundreds of high school students from across Western New York will visit UB’s North Campus for Science Exploration Day, a hands-on event connecting curiosity to career. Through workshops, lectures, and lab tours led by UB researchers and local professionals, students will explore the worlds of science, engineering, and health care. Founded nearly 30 years ago by the late Professor Rod Doran, this annual program continues to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators.

The mission of Science Exploration Day is to promote interest and thoughtful engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among high school students in Western New York through an annual daylong program of workshops, lectures and laboratory tours in a university environment.

8:30am – 9:20am Registration
9:25am – 10:00am First Session
10:10am – 10:45am Second Session
10:55am – 11:30am Third Session or lunch
11:40am – 12:15 pm Fourth Session or lunch
12:25pm – 1:05 pm Fifth Session
